Nearby region

- Visit D'ouro Valley, a region famous for producing great wines. The Alto Douro, the upper part of the valley, is a UNESCO world heritage site.

If you want to treat yourself, stop by the famous Six Senses hotel in Lamego.


- Explore Peneda-Geres National Park, the only national park in Portugal. It's a sparsely populated mountainous region covered in lush forests, waterfalls, rivers, and a great diversity of plants and animals.


- Enjoy the beautiful city of Viana do Castelo, known as one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal thanks to its medieval architecture, winding streets and world-famous sanctuary. Make sure to check out amazing seafood at Tasquinha da Linda if you go, you won't regret it!


- Make a trip to Amarante, a charming town set along the banks of River Tâmega. Founded in 360 BC as Turdetanos, its a hub for traditional Portuguese gastronomy and wine, particularly Vinho Verde, and is also famous for its religious significance.

Lisboa
